Our bespoke, Cedar Paddle Boards (SUP) are made right here in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, with the utmost attention to detail. Our boards are luxurious, simple as that. Each frame is laser cut in house, using ethically and locally sourced White Cedar from Algonquin Park, or Baltic Ply. Our top decks are made using book matched Western Red Cedar from British Columbia, or Eastern White Cedar, found here in Ontario. Each Paddle Board comes with two Gore - Breathable Vents, Leash Plug and a Fin box, ready to accept any FCs or FCS2 fin.
Our solid wood Paipo boards are made from reclaimed cedar and hemlock that dates as far back as the 1790′s. We love working with old growth reclaimed wood from the Ottawa valley, not just for its sustainability, but for the tight deep coloured grain and rich patina. Each piece has a rich history that’s so important to us. We take time in selecting the absolute best pieces of lumber for our solid cedar wood Paipo, Itago and Alaia boards. Each piece of cedar is hand picked based on the quality, tightness of grain and overall colour. Our alternative surf - Paipo, Itago and Alaia boards are finished with 6 coats of Boiled Linseed Oil and Turpentine.
Since each Paipo, Handplane or Walnut Skateboard is handcrafted, the wood grain will always var from piece to piece. No two pieces are ever alike.
Bespoke Cedar SUP
Each Stand Up Paddle Board is made to be as functional as it is pretty, right here in Ottawa, Ontario. Made with the highest quality of both Western Red and Eastern White Cedar available. Our boards are built to last and absolutely unique, there's no two boards alike and we can promise you, you'll never see anything like them. They glide and track well, weigh roughly 26-30 lbs and look great on the water. We offer 3 different styles, a 10' 6 board, a 10' board and an 8'6" Performance SUP, each design is ready for anything you can throw at it. Our boards gleam on the water, and you will too.
Ordering your board is as easy as choosing the board from two all round style paddle boards and one performance SUP, made for the ocean swell. Each board comes with a custom boilerplate on the bottom with the model, number and date.
Handcrafted Cedar Paipos
Our Paipo, Itago and Alaia boards are always handcrafted, using only the finest materials available to us. Our reclaimed Eastern White Cedar and Eastern Hemlock is always sourced locally to us in the Ottawa Valley. Most often, our materials have been sourced from century old buildings, located in the Ottawa area.
Both Eastern White Cedar and Eastern Hemlock are very rot resistant and will stand up to hours and hours of ocean use. Our Paipo, Itago and Alaiar boards and Handplanes need very little care, and are ready for use right out of the box.
